I am aware of owners deciding to not insure their properties, as they simply can not afford too! Note! You can only do this if your property is unencumbered (No mortgage) Otherwise you may be in breach of your requirements to insure, under your mortgage!
Thanks for the reminder. But my problem will be finding my policy’s. 
There is a lot of work in keeping track of insurance’s on properties. We have found over the years that Insurance brokers do really help. But today we are in an ever changing environment and all owners need to make the effort to know.
Also, keep in mind cheap insurance is not often the best. We tell our clients go with best company that can actually pay out when a serious event happens!
Hi @ABarnes. You are not alone as I have also found over the years that it is a common problem. “A lot of our community also don’t know where their policy is”. Let alone have up to-date photos of their properties interior and exteriors.
