Didn’t know about the new rules, so thanks. We have also noticed this being a real issues for property managers and owners of small industrial lockup’s that have populated the New Zealand landscape.

When I have looked at units to buy as an investment, I have come across many that just don’t feel right, more so if they are vacant. I think a gut feel is important.

Also, something I learned is to always research body corporate meeting minutes which often will include methamphetamine issues with specific owners.

Hi @Littlejohn, I have also found that in a property I was trying to buy in Kapiti. After my inspection their was just something that didn’t feel right.

The selling agent was not aware of the meth problem. But apparently a builders report found contamination. It was then removed from the market.

I am a great believer in listening to your gut or intuition!
